Assistant Teaching Professor - Macroeconomics

Economics:  Assistant Teaching Professor in macroeconomics to teach undergraduate economics; advise students; and provide service to students and the institution.  Start date of the position is August 2020.

 

Required:  Ph.D. in economics by date of appointment. 

 

Consideration may be given to candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching high quality courses in Principles of Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, and upper-level courses; commitment to excellence in teaching large sections of each course (Principles of Macroeconomics, Money and Banking); commitment to pedagogic innovation; or demonstrated enthusiasm for undertaking student-centered service responsibilities such as academic and extracurricular advising; or student advising experience.  Service responsibilities undertaken by faculty in the department could include developing and maintaining the data that department uses for strategic planning; developing and maintaining teaching materials and resources shared by the department; and/or providing support for one or more of the following:  Visiting faculty teaching Principles of Economics, assessment of Principles of Economics and other courses, e-learning, career opportunities for students.
