UCLA is currently seeking an Associate Director, Major Gifts for the Anderson School of Management. The Associate Director will plan and implement a strong, proactive program to secure major gifts from a portfolio of individual prospects. Reporting to the Director, Major Gifts, and working closely with the Associate Dean of Development, this individual will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major individual prospects ($100,000 and up) with an emphasis on endowed chairs, fellowships, support for research centers, planned gifts and endowments in the $250,000 to $1 million or higher range. This individual will host VIP visitors to UCLA Anderson, visit specified regions in the United States to cultivate donors and will accompany and staff Deans on prospect and donor calls. The Associate Director will plan and implement strategic cultivation events and programming in assigned regions, working in concert with Alumni Relations and UCLA regional major gift officers and will also act as a liaison to the UCLA regional major gift officers as part of managing regional giving prospects and connecting central major gifts staff to appropriate staff and faculty at UCLA Anderson.

The ideal candidate will have a background related to business or professional school education and a strong record of gifts solicited and closed. With a working knowledge of the practices of major gift fundraising in a university setting and a strong understanding of the goals, functions and services of a research university, this individual will be charged with planning, implementing and administering complex major gift solicitation in support of the School's mission and strategic plan. The Director will be a persuasive communicator, creative writer and have well-developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior academic leadership, high-level staff, faculty, Alumni Relations and key administrators across campus toward the accomplishment of fundraising goals.
