Serving an on-campus population of approximately 3000 residential students, this position provides mission-critical support and oversight for the residential operation. Responsibilities: The Assistant Director for Student Housing assists the Director of Housing and Residence Education with the overall administration of the residential program through functional assignments in housing operations and residence education. Functional assignments could change annually to best meet the needs of the Office of Student Housing and the professional development needs of the incumbent. Rotating functional assignments may include housing administrative operations, residential community engagement, co-curricular programming, and student/staff development.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of three (3) years progressive responsibility and successful experience in student housing or a related field. Demonstrate a clear understanding of student development theories and have the ability to apply the theories in practical situations. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate a strong client service orientation. Demonstrate computer proficiency with standard office applications.

 

Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in student affairs, communications, or business administration. Experience and usage with Adirondack Housing Solutions software, Experience with Advocate conduct software.
