Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Faculty Position Available

 

The Department of Computer Science at Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning Fall 2020. Applicants should have an earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited institution by the start of the employment date. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must have a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service.

All applicants with a background in traditional areas of computer science will be considered; however, special consideration will be given to applicants with expertise in database systems, computer networks and security, mobile computing, web technologies, and programming languages. Women and minorities are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants for the position will be expected to teach a wide variety of courses at the undergraduate level and should be willing to supervise undergraduate research projects. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate computing courses in the Department's programs in Computer Science (COSC) and Computer Information Technology (CITE), advising and mentoring majors in those programs, and conducting research and engaging in scholarship in the applicant’s area of specialization.
