The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) seeks a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the founding Vice Provost for Academic Innovation. This is an exceptional opportunity to build on the energy of a young university with an impressive growth track and trajectory. The largest university in the San Antonio metropolitan region, UTSA has more than 1,200 full-time tenure and non-tenure track faculty. With over 32,000 students enrolled, it serves 27,500 undergraduate and over 4,500 graduate students. Total research and development expenditures for the University are $68.1 million. In 2015, the University completed its first ever capital campaign, exceeding its original goal and raising more than $180 million.

UTSA seeks an entrepreneurial Vice Provost with imagination, drive and vision to lead the University into its next phase of academic innovation. The Vice Provost will be a collaborative leader who builds infrastructure and pedagogical pathways to online learning and programming, teaching and learning, video production, and learning technologies. S/he will be a natural coalition builder, reaching across campus to partner with colleagues to develop cutting edge and compelling programs to support and drive innovation.
