Cybersecurity Law – Job Description

Georgia State University College of Law invites applicants for the tenure-track position of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of cybersecurity law to begin in the 2020-21 academic year. We seek a person who will make substantial and meaningful scholarly contributions, who will participate actively in the life of the Law School, and who will enhance the College of Law’s strong teaching reputation.

Applicants must have a J.D. or equivalent degree and a strong academic record. In addition, applicants should demonstrate a track record or promise in teaching and research in the field of cybersecurity or other closely related areas. Candidates should have an interest in teaching courses relating to cybersecurity, data privacy and risk assessment; other possible courses may include or relate to technology and the law or First Amendment law. Candidates should be familiar with issues such as liability for cyber incidents, compliance with regulatory agencies’ cybersecurity frameworks, and risk assessment.
