Assistant Professor of Marketing

The Maine Business School (MBS) (AACSB accredited) at the University of Maine invite applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Marketing beginning in Fall 2020. Please note that this position is subject to final approval of funding.

The successful candidate must have, or anticipate completion of, a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in Marketing by Fall 2020. ABDs with a definite defense date will be considered. Commitment to a high-quality research program, experience in or potential for offering high-quality instruction, and service to the University are requirements of this position.

An ideal candidate for this position will: demonstrate the ability to teach Marketing Research (research and/or teaching interests in the areas of digital marketing or analytics would also be welcome); engage in impactful scholarly research; enjoy working with and advising students; participate in service for the department, school, university and profession; and foster collaborative relationships with the business community. Professional certification and relevant professional experience are a plus.

The normal teaching load is currently five sections per year (2 preparations per semester) but is routinely reduced in the first two years. A quality research program leading to publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals is required. Faculty are also expected to contribute to the maintenance of AACSB accreditation of the MBS.
