ADCS Associate Director



The Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) (http://neurosciences.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the
faculty, staff and student body and is a ADCS Associate Director.

Candidates must have a PhD and/or MD degree or equivalent. Candidates with an MD degree must be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board, have completed Neurology or Geriatric Medicine training, and be Board eligible or Board certified in Neurology or Geriatric Medicine. Candidates with an MD degree must have completed Fellowship training in Alzheimer's disease or a related specialty, or have a track record of expertise in the area.

Candidate must have demonstrated scientific expertise in neurodegenerative dementias, clinical trials design, methodology, and conduct, with established expertise in one or several of the following: neurobiology, pharmacology, epidemiology, neuroimaging, biomarkers, or behavioral neurology/cognitive neuroscience, related to Alzheimer's disease and related disorders at the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study.

Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)
Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor Rank based on candidate's experience and qualifications. Series will include 100% Ladder Rank or 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Associate or Full Professor (Tenured)
