Assistant Director of Scholarship Management

Ohio University is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Scholarship Management in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position will develop and maintain policies and procedures for strategic use of endowed and restricted scholarship funding. This will require analysis of complex endowed/restricted scholarship gift agreements, as well as interpretation and application of such agreements to strategic awarding and funds management.

He or she will also serve as liaison to academic college Deans’ offices and Ohio University Foundation.

The individual will maintain records of longitudinal utilization of various university scholarship funding via developed reports through OBIE and other sources. Report outcomes will be used to plan for upcoming resource needs, including financial resources.

Finally, he or she will provide counseling to scholarship recipients regarding questions directly related to scholarship award packages. Communicate with scholarship donors related to awarding/use of gifts.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, excellent verbal and written communication, and management experience. A Master’s degree in Higher Education or a similar field as well as experience managing a large program and progressive experience in a financial aid office are preferred.
