The University of Iowa, Department of Internal Medicine Division of Nephrology is seeking applications for a non-tenure track BC/BE academic nephrologist. This position will have a combination of general nephrology and transplant nephrology responsibilities. Specific clinical assignments may include general medicine attending, inpatient general nephrology and transplant nephrology consultations, outpatient clinic, and management of dialysis patients in the University hospital and affiliated VA hospital as needed.   The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the teaching of trainees.

Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent and have completed a Nephrology Fellowship from an accredited fellowship program. Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Nephrology are required.  Also required is some advance training in nephrology and transplant nephrology and authorization to work in the United States. Research training as evidenced by history of publication is required.

Desirable qualifications are an interest in graduate medical education as evidenced by advanced training or experience teaching residents and/or fellows and demonstrated outstanding abilities and skills in teaching, organizational management, and clinical medicine.
