The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry of Texas Christian University seeks an accomplished instructor of general chemistry to join the faculty.  This half time, nine-month position requires the applicant to teach one or more sections of general chemistry at the highest level of rigor in the Fall as well as the general chemistry laboratory course in the Spring.  A PhD in chemistry is required.  Significant experience in teaching general chemistry is highly desired.  Applicants should submit a letter of intent that addresses experience in teaching general chemistry, specifically, a statement of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching excellence.  In addition, a cv, examples of instructional materials, and the names of three references should be provided.  Applications will be evaluated starting June 1 for a Fall 2019 start-date.
