The Physical Therapy (PT) Program at Northern Arizona University (NAU) is seeking applications for an Assistant Clinical Professor to contribute to teaching, student-related activities, scholarship, and service at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus (PBC).

Qualified individuals must hold a clinical doctorate (DPT) or an academic doctorate (PhD, EdD) in physical therapy or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education and have prior experience teaching in a university setting. Preference will be given to those applicants eligible for physical therapy licensure in Arizona, have five years or more of experience as a physical therapist in a clinical setting, a record of scholarship, and two years or more of teaching DPT students.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching in the DPT program, other student-related activities such as advising, establish a scholarly agenda, and serve on University-wide and professional committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A clinical doctorate (DPT) or an academic doctorate (PhD, EdD) in physical therapy or a related field from an accredited institution

• Prior experience of teaching in an institution of higher education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eligible for physical therapy licensure in Arizona

• 5 years or more of experience as a physical therapist in a clinical setting

• Demonstrated commitment to working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds

• ABPTS certification

• 2 years or more of teaching entry-level or post-professional physical therapy students

• Evidence of a record of scholarship

This posting is for a 9-month non-tenure track position at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus. The anticipated start date is August 19, 2019.

Annual Salary: Rank and salary are commensurate with academic credentials and experience.
