Assistant Professor in the Research Track in the field of Physiology

The University of Iowa, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is seeking an Assistant Professor in the Research Track in the field of physiology.

Applicants are required to have a PhD degree. Applicants are required to have expertise in epithelia electrophysiology and animal in vivo physiology research. Experience in physiology in silico modeling also required. Contributions to scientific research related to pulmonary medicine are highly desired. Experience using data collected from sensors is also highly desired as is at least some experience with high performance computing. Successful applicants, in addition to contributing to team-science projects, will be expected to establish their own independent research program and also engage in teaching and mentoring a wide range of students and trainees. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
