Responsible for providing the full range of administrative and management functions for the unit. Financial responsibilities include overseeing all accounts within LSIT; ensuring monthly review and reconciliation of ledgers; providing timely reporting; ensuring timely and accurate user billing; and ensuring compliance with university, federal, and state accounting practices on all transactions. Personnel administration responsibilities include overseeing the organizational aspects of recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, and separating career and student staff as well as timecard and payroll management and reporting. Responsible for office operations, facilities maintenance, equipment, and inventory. Must possess considerable initiative, independence, judgment, and problem-solving abilities, as well as effective communication skills.

 

Requirements: Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely. Ability to quickly assess and annotate financial data. Ability to assess and adjust priorities adeptly, while balancing a high volume workload. Ability to interface professionally with a broad range of staff, faculty, students, and others on behalf of the department. Excellent service orientation; must be proactive, flexible, and diligent in work approach. Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality in the handling of financial, human resources, payroll, and other critical forms, systems, paperwork and reports. Must be able to interpret, communicate, and advise others on, UC, and Departmental policies and procedures. Advanced level spreadsheet and database software ability for moderately to highly complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reporting. Ability to understand internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Experience in independently accomplishing tasks in an environment with changing priorities; ability to work under pressure of deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective, productive and cooperative professional relationships and work collaboratively with individuals and groups.

Salary: $53,200-$79,800/yr.
