DEAN OF THE GRADUATE SCHOOL

Loyola University Chicago invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Graduate School. The new Dean will lead the University’s commitment to strengthen and expand the broad array of high quality programs offered by the Graduate School.

The Dean is the Administrative Officer of the Graduate School, reports to the Provost and serves on the Council of Deans, and will serve as the chief planning officer, administrator, and advocate for the Graduate School. The Dean will also provide leadership and support in the areas of student recruitment, the Graduate Student Advisory Council, student advising and the adjudication of academic matters concerning students.

Founded in 1870, Loyola University Chicago is a private university and one of the largest Jesuit, Catholic Universities in the nation with current total enrollment of approximately 17,000 students. The Loyola Graduate School enrolls approximately 1,270 graduate students in 25 PhD programs, a professional doctorate program, 35 master's programs, 22 dual degree programs, and 16 advanced bachelor’s/master’s programs.  These students work with more than 600 graduate faculty members on three campuses.  Situated in the heart of Chicago, students apply their knowledge through outstanding internship and field study opportunities at leading institutions and research settings throughout the metropolitan area.
