Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer

Ball State University (the University) seeks an experienced leader and manager to serve as its next vice president for business affairs and treasurer.

Located in Muncie, Indiana, Ball State University serves approximately 22,000 graduate and undergraduate students across eight academic colleges with 190 undergraduate programs. Ball State offers more than 140 master's, doctoral, certificate and specialist degrees, many of them ranking among the best in the nation. The vice president for business affairs and treasurer provides leadership, management and oversight of all activities within the business affairs unit and serves as treasurer and chief financial officer of the University. The vice president reports to the president, serves as a key member of his leadership team and provides advice and counsel on all administrative, business, HR and financial matters affecting the institution. The vice president for business affairs and treasurer provides direct supervision to the associate vice president for business affairs and auxiliary services; associate vice president for human resources; associate vice president for facilities planning and management; and associate vice president and university controller.

Ball State University seeks a highly motivated and entrepreneurial financial leader with the vision, experience and management capabilities necessary to advance and strengthen the University's business affairs unit. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record as a strategist with direct oversight experience for a variety of financial, facility, auxiliary and human resource planning functions in a similarly complex organization. The vice president will set high expectations for performance and accountability, be a superb communicator with exceptional change management skills and work collaboratively and transparently with colleagues in a spirit of partnership and fiscal responsibility.
