Director of Development, UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture

As Director of Development for the School of the Arts and Architecture, you will have a major impact on raising funds to advance the arts as a cornerstone of the creativity, innovation and collaboration that the 21st century demands.

Serving as Director of Development you will lead efforts, in partnership with Executive Director of Development, to craft an ambitious development strategy to further the UCLA Arts development program. As Director you will create and sustain relationships with constituents, manage a donor portfolio, and be responsible for securing major gifts. You are persuasive with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and you will oversee donor relations and stewardship staff, in addition to a development coordinator.

The ideal candidate will possess sophisticated strategies in all stages of complex major gift solicitations, with a minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible development experience, preferably in higher education fundraising. The Director will establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with donors, the Dean, senior academic leadership, high-level staff across campus, and other development staff toward the accomplishment of UCLA's fundraising goals and the specific priorities of the School of the Arts and Architecture.
