Performs teaching duties in area(s) of expertise.  Distinguished Lecturers are experienced practitioners or teachers who hold full-time, non-tenure track position with a maximum appointment period of seven years, subject to annual reappointment.

CUNY SPS currently seeks candidates for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Distinguished Lecturer/Associate Academic Director for the School’s two online Psychology programs: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Psychology Program.

The general responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, teaching courses, curriculum development, advisement and support of students, participation on committees and in School governance, scholarship, and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and a record of achievement in a profession or field of expertise related to teaching assignments.  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
The preferred candidate will have the following:
• Earned doctorate in Psychology
• A record of teaching, research, and scholarly activity in psychology
• Experience with Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Psychopathology, or Developmental Psychology, preferred
• Previous experience with thesis and capstone project oversight, preferred
• Experience with online teaching and learning in higher education
• Commitment to advance the success of an online learning environment
• Experience with curriculum and course development, and assessment, with particular emphasis in psychology and online course/program development
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with students for advisement and mentoring
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, and staff of the CUNY School of Professional Studies and other divisions across the University
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills 

Salary up to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
