The Georgia Tech Alumni Association (“GTAA”) is the official alumni association for the Georgia Institute of Technology’s more than 160,000 alumni spread across the globe. The GTAA has a distinct mission and vision and has asserted its impact on its alumni community, the Institute, Atlanta, and the world.

Georgia Tech is a top ranked public university and one of the leading research universities in the United States. Georgia Tech provides a technologically focused education to more than 32,500 undergraduate and graduate students in fields ranging from engineering, computing, and sciences, to business, design, and liberal arts. Georgia Tech is ranked the 8th Top Public University and the 35th National University by U.S. News & World Report. In FY18, Georgia Tech’s R&D expenditures were $908M.

As the overall leader of GTAA, the CEO is the leader of strategic and day-to-day operations of the Alumni Association. The CEO will work closely with the GTAA Vice President team and the Board of Trustees to develop lasting relationships with alumni and other valuable members of the Georgia Tech community. The CEO will be the out-front leader that provides an innovative vision and implementation plan to address the changing needs and engagement initiatives for a diverse and innovative alumni body. S/he will synthesize and clarify the needs of these various stakeholder groups in order to build and execute a thoughtful, progressive and dynamic engagement strategy.

The ideal candidate is an executive leader with relevant experience and a passion for the engagement of the broad spectrum of Georgia Tech stakeholders. S/he also has a demonstrated philosophy of servant leadership and is an outstanding communicator with a positive, approachable, and respectful demeanor. The CEO has entrepreneurial instincts and acts as a visionary with strategic skills and a predisposition for action and innovation.

Georgia Tech has retained Korn Ferry, a global executive recruiting firm, to assist with this search.
