JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Admissions is a goal-driven and experienced professional responsible for providing leadership and management of daily and long-term operations and workflow as determined by enrollment cycles including recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented and inclusive student body. The Director of Admissions will utilize direct enrollment management knowledge and experience and remain current on critical industry trends, research, and analyses that align enrollment with the academic and university priorities.

The Director of Admissions is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing key enrollment functions for the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs (VCSA). The position will work closely with the VCSA and organizational leaders to ensure the admissions process is in accordance with University of Mississippi policies and procedures and all applicable federal, state and accrediting agencies standards and regulations. This process begins with lead generation and carries through to enrollment in terms of number of students, quality of students, and level of student expectations/satisfaction. The Director of Admissions will also develop and execute the operational, financial, and personnel functions of the Office of Admissions. The Director of Admissions reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive responsibility in an enrollment management department

Master degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated enthusiasm for and track record in the total admissions process in a higher education institution

Ability to work independently and collegially with prospective students, program directors, and faculty

Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends

Excellent computer and social media skills with an understanding of their use in recruitment

Demonstrated success in managing people and projects.
