VICE PRESIDENT OF UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT/CEO OF THE UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION

Florida’s only public university dedicated exclusively to teaching science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) announces a national search for exceptional candidates to serve as the Vice President of University Advancement and CEO of the Florida Polytechnic University Foundation.

 

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of University Advancement serves as the senior advancement officer and Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Polytechnic University Foundation, Inc.  This position is a key member of the President’s cabinet, providing innovative leadership for development of relationships with and securing investments from individuals, corporations and foundations locally, regionally and nationally.

 

The University seeks an energetic and strategic leader to fill this important role.  The best candidates will have a proven record of friend- and fund-raising and will have unquestioned integrity, exemplary communication skills, and a strategic perspective regarding best practices in the advancement field.

 

To be successful in this position, candidates must be excited about the challenge of advocating for a young university that is still developing its alumni base and pool of major and principal gifts prospects. Strong relationships with organizations and individuals who have a passion and willingness to invest in our new and unique model of applied STEM education are critical to our success.

 

Located in Lakeland, Florida, between Orlando and Tampa, Florida Poly is the 12th and newest university in the State University System of Florida. Anchored by a spectacular marquis building designed by internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, Florida Poly is on the cutting edge of high-tech STEM education. The University, which opened in 2014, has about 1,500 students and employs approximately 300 faculty and staff.
