THE OPPORTUNITY

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks a dynamic, energetic and progressive leader to serve as Chancellor of its Prescott, Arizona campus. Embry-Riddle is the leader in aviation and aerospace higher education. The Chancellor will report directly to President P. Barry Butler and will be responsible for building and motivating an administrative team charged with advancing the strategic goals of the university in the five-year plan introduced in 2018.

The Chancellor leads the Prescott Campus and its colleges of Arts & Sciences, Aviation, Engineering, and Security & Intelligence.  As an administrator, the Chancellor will lead the pursuit of excellence in teaching, scholarship and service and be responsible for the full range of academic, operational and professional activities. Leadership will be exercised in a manner consistent with cooperative membership in a larger university system and with the broader goals of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Other responsibilities include leadership at the university cabinet level, philanthropic initiatives and external relationships with the Prescott community, government and industry.

Embry-Riddle’s Prescott, Arizona campus currently serves just over 2,700 students and is located 100 miles north of Phoenix.  The Prescott campus, and the university as a whole, have seen tremendous recent successes.  Strong demand has led to record enrollment and significant investments in programs, people and facilities.  The Prescott faculty and staff are known for their personal commitment to student success and engage students in their academic pursuits, research, athletics and other extracurricular activities.

Prescott is a vibrant, mountain town less than two hours from Phoenix that is rich in beauty and history.  The Prescott community and the university enjoy a healthy and mutually supportive relationship.  The community welcomes students and staff into their activities and campus and community leaders work together to achieve common goals.
