Director of Student Housing

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Student Housing is responsible for visionary and strategic leadership in the planning, operation, and management of a department with over two million square feet of space, housing over 5,000 residents in 17 residential communities.

Fiscal management includes the generation of income sufficient to cover all costs, including debt management, capital projects, long-term housing facility maintenance, and renovations. Long-term and short-term planning includes strategic alignment of housing facility use and assignments with University goals. Debt management and long-range financial planning ensure fiduciary stewardship of over $27 million in operations. The Director also oversees summer conference groups, management of university houses, and third-party campus post office operations.

Minimum Qualifications
• Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Business, Public Administration, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
AND
• Ten-years progressive experience in college/university administration.
AND
• Five years of experience supervising upper level management staff in Housing and/or Residence Life.
