Wake Forest University seeks a transformative leader to serve as the next Executive Director of the BB&T Center for the Study of Capitalism. This is a tremendous opportunity for an individual with exceptional academic, professional, or high level business experience to shape the Center’s future, making it the preeminent space for public discourse, interdisciplinary research, and innovative teaching as it relates to capitalism and its multifaceted contributions to a just and humane society.

More specifically, the Executive Director will lead the effort to strengthen the Center’s existing status within the School of Business and bolster its connection to the broader campus community, while also enhancing the Center’s financial standing and resources through strategic fundraising. The Executive Director will also serve as the external face of the Center, communicating its exceptional story in such a way that raises its national profile. In addition to an outstanding record of professional achievement, the successful candidate will bring a deep commitment to shaping the future of business education while furthering the public discourse regarding capitalism through innovative, bold, inspired and effective leadership.

Established in 2008, the BB&T Center for the Study of Capitalism is a leading voice in the academy, the business world and beyond. The Center is widely recognized for its content expertise, curricular advances, and cutting-edge programming. Housed within the Wake Forest School of Business, the Center has initiated novel conversations and deep thinking around capitalism, both in the School of Business and across the University. Likewise, the Center, largely through the work of its leadership, faculty fellows, and executives in residence, has provided thought leadership to a broad public through relevant campus programming and a number of important national media appearances.
