Stevenson University invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President Administration & Finance, CFO (‘Vice President’).

Stevenson University is a private, independent, coeducational university that is located in the Greenspring Valley area of Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The University has two campuses, one in Stevenson and one in Owings Mills, with approximately 3,900 undergraduate and graduate students including 900 online students. Formerly known as Villa Julie College, the name was changed to Stevenson University in 2008. The University boasts six schools: Howard S. Brown School of Business and Leadership; School of Design; School of Education; Sandra R. Berman School of Nursing and Health Professionals; School of Humanities and Social Sciences; and the Beverly K. Fine School of the Sciences, as well as Stevenson University Online. In September 2016, the largest academic building, the Kevin J. Manning Academic Center, opened. The Center is a 200,000 square-foot building that houses the Beverly K. Fine School of the Sciences, the Sandra R. Berman School of Nursing and Health Professions, and additional facilities for the School of Design.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President provides strategic senior leadership for the financial operations of the university and for real estate/facilities development and maintenance. The Vice President has responsibility for the areas of Athletics, Audit, Facilities, Finance, Food & Auxiliary Services, Grounds, and Security. The Vice President serves as a senior member of the university management team and manages professional staff members, in addition to managing contractual relationships with external service providers. As the university’s Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President works closely with the President and the other Vice Presidents to identify strategic financial goals and implement long-term plans in support of these goals. The Vice President plays a central role in the short-term and long-term development of the university’s infrastructure and facilities.

The Vice President Administration & Finance will provide senior leadership for Facilities and Financial Affairs, as well as directly supervising and evaluating the Associate Vice President Finance/Controller, Director of Athletics, Assistant Vice President Facilities & Campus Services, and the Assistant to the Vice President. The successful candidate should have at least ten years of strategic leadership in financial planning and management, facilities planning and construction, and related administrative functions. A bachelors degree is required; a masters degree is preferred.
