The Social Science Department at LaGuardia Community College is seeking highly motivated and innovative candidates to fill one full-time position in Criminal Justice at the Lecturer level. Although lectureships are not tenure-track positions, lecturers who complete five years of service may apply for a Certificate of Continuous Employment, which provides job protection comparable to tenure.

Primary responsibilities will include teaching a wide range of criminal justice courses including Criminal Justice, Criminology, Corrections, Policing, and other courses according to interest and need. The successful candidate will participate in departmental, divisional, and college-wide initiatives, provide academic advisement and student guidance, and contribute to program development. Appropriate professional development, research and scholarly activities are also expected. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and the ability to work with a diverse population. 

    QUALIFICATIONS 
    Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field required.
