Director of Purchasing and Materials Management

 

The Director of Purchasing and Materials Management is the University's agent for acquiring all materials, services, supplies, equipment, and provides leadership and direction through management of a comprehensive program of procurement, inventory, and materials control activities including purchasing, mail services, printing services, surplus property, shipping & receiving, and contract administration. The Director is responsible for planning and directing the activities of these University programs. The Director supports University users and develops policies and procedures to establish and maintain legal compliance, financial accountability, physical control and effective resource utilization for assigned programs. The Director represents the University in negotiations or awarding contracts with authority to obligate physical and financial resources and reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Business & Financial Services.

The department of Purchasing & Materials Management is responsible for procurement of goods and services, printing services, mail services, central shipping & receiving, and surplus inventory. Purchasing & Materials Management is a department with the unit of Business & Financial Services.

Faculty members teach, advise students, conduct research, assess student learning and engage in service activities.

Menomonie, Wisconsin, is a town of 16,000 located in the beautiful Chippewa River Valley, 25 miles west of Eau Claire and 60 miles east of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
