Reporting to the Associate Provost and Assistant VP for Academic Affairs, the Executive Associate will play a key role in managing college-wide Strategic Planning and student learning outcome assessment, as well as wide-ranging college-wide initiatives designed to assist the College in advancing student learning and success.

The Executive Associate will support the Associate Provost and will be responsible for the following:
- Manage several academic administrative processes and initiatives including institutional learning outcome assessments, periodic program review and accreditation processes;
- Manage initiatives designed to strengthen the College's basic skills programs accelerated learning processes;
- Collaborates with the academic and administrative offices on sensitive and high level projects that further the mission of the institution;
- Administer the strategic planning process, evaluating outcomes, and preparing management reports;
- Undertake research and data collection as needed by the Academic Division for special projects (e.g researching promising practices in regard to tutoring, capstone courses, advisement), and new program development;
- Manage data collection, tracking systems, and evaluations for Academic Affairs' initiatives;
- Monitor the writing of funding proposals and grant processes, and prepare grant reports;
- Provides support on a variety of administrative and fiscal issues;
- Manages and prepares high level correspondence on behalf of the Associate Provost. 

    QUALIFICATIONS 
    Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Degree preferred.
- Five years of teaching or education administration experience preferred.
- Experience in an undergraduate institution of higher learning with a diverse faculty and student body preferred.
- Substantial Student Advisement experience preferred.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with student success initiatives in higher education.
- Experience in understanding of managing faculty and staff development initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with digital learning and advisement systems a plus.
- Experience with grant proposals and management preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities and student populations.
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint) preferred. 

    CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW 
- Supports a Campus or University Executive in a variety of activities and initiatives as a key team member. 
- Organizes and manages projects involving different areas of the Campus or University community, with responsibility for project outcomes. 
- Represents the Executive's unit in Campus or University-wide activities, including committees, special initiatives, and implementation of new processes or technology. 
- Independently carries out a portfolio of responsibilities under the Executive's purview, such as approvals, student interactions, and monitoring of key activities.  Manages communications within and outside the unit related to areas of responsibility. 
- May serve as Manager of a large Executive Office. 
- Performs related duties as assigned.
