Texas Christian University (TCU) invites nominations and expressions of interest for the John V. Roach Dean of the Neeley School of Business. The University seeks a visionary leader who is dedicated to enriching the intellectual lives of students, faculty and the global community.


TCU was founded in 1873 and has grown from a small regional university to a highly ranked global university in a dynamic city and region. Enrollment at TCU in Fall 2018 was 10,918 total students, of which 9,445 are pursuing undergraduate degrees in eight degree granting colleges and 1,473 students who are pursuing a graduate degree. The Neeley School of Business has 103 full-time faculty, 77 staff, an undergraduate enrollment of 2,437 and a graduate enrollment of 361. The Neeley School also has six academic centers, an executive education center and a number of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs. The Neeley School has been recognized in various publications for its outstanding education, including being ranked by the Economist (18th in 2018 for Global EMBA, 8th in U.S., & 1st in Texas; 49th in U.S. for full-time MBA, with MBA faculty 1st in world); Poets & Quants (26th in U.S. for undergraduate BBA in 2018). In the fall of 2019, the Neeley School will be housed in the new 223,338 square foot Spencer and Marlene Hays Business Commons complex.


TCU seeks a new Dean, a visionary who has the ability to define and cultivate academic excellence among Neeley students and faculty. Further, we seek a Dean who understands the need for and importance of diversity and inclusion as these initiatives are priorities with the university’s vision and strategic plans. Candidates should be nationally recognized with a record of scholarly excellence, as well as demonstrated leadership and administrative experience. The Dean of the Neeley School of Business reports directly to the Provost and operates in an environment where governance is shared between faculty and administration. The Neeley School is committed to producing high quality graduates with cutting-edge business competencies and commitment to being effective ethical leaders in their corporate and civic lives. The Neeley School supports the development of programs that foster informed critical inquiry and address major business and societal challenges. TCU is classified by U.S. News & World Report as a Tier 1 university and a Doctoral/Research university by the Carnegie Foundation. The Carnegie Commission lists TCU’s undergraduate profile as “More Selective,” its highest ranking. TCU is located in Fort Worth, Texas, the 15th largest city in the U.S. (located in a metropolitan area of more than 6 million), a city known for its vibrant economy, cultural district, and world-class arts and entertainment venues.
