Vice President for Enrollment

Carroll University invites nominations and applications for the position of vice president for enrollment. Reporting to the president, the VPE will be Carroll’s chief enrollment officer, providing strategic leadership to all aspects of enrollment management for the university. The new vice president will lead and manage an enrollment division with responsibilities in traditional and international undergraduate admissions, transfer/non-traditional admissions, an expanding program of graduate admissions, financial aid, and an Office of Student Success. Experience that may not be conventional at small independent colleges/universities will also be welcomed, including familiarity with for-profit enrollment practices and on-line learning.

This is a transformative leadership opportunity in which a new VPE will have university-wide impact on the welfare of Carroll’s future. Central to the position’s success will be the VPE’s ability to think strategically, to integrate all aspects of enrollment management operations into an effective whole, and to work collaboratively across all university constituencies. While meeting annual enrollment targets will remain a primary responsibility, collaboration with others will be essential in influencing student success, retention and persistence, graduation rates, financial aid modeling and planning, branding, and marketing.

Carroll is Wisconsin’s first, four-year institution of higher learning, chartered in 1846, two years before Wisconsin became a state. Currently distinctive in the health sciences, Carroll offers more than 95 areas of study including a variety of graduate programs and a clinical doctorate in physical therapy. Enrollment totals include 2,690 full-time and 217 part-time undergraduate students, and 451 graduate students. Carroll is the only comprehensive college located in Waukesha County, just 17 miles from Wisconsin’s largest city, Milwaukee.
