Psychometrician

The Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa-Carver College of Medicine is seeking to hire a psychometrician for an appointment as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Tenure Track.  Rank will be based upon experience and productivity.  Successful candidates must have a PhD degree with an additional degree or post-doctoral training in public health or health services research preferred. 

Candidates will be required to develop an independently funded research program in the areas of healthcare access and delivery; women’s health; rural health; and impact of deployment on health and reintegration outcomes.  Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs and partnered research is required.  Successful candidates must be able to collaborate with other faculty in the design and execution of innovative research programs and assist other faculty with psychometric evaluation and survey research methods. 

The successful candidate is required to have excellent communication and leadership skills, excellent organization skills and demonstrate job-related experience with a commitment to diversity in the academic setting.  In addition, the successful candidate must have a track-record of grant funding, at least five peer-reviewed publications as first/senior author, and expertise in psychometrics and Veteran healthcare outcomes.
