Bentley University invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Vice President, External Relations.

The Vice President, External Relations (VPER) is a new position for Bentley University, and will report directly to President Alison Davis-Blake. The units reporting to this position are those most engaged with Bentley’s corporate partners and include Career Services, Executive Education, Center for Women in Business (CWB).  The VPER will have comprehensive oversight of these units, including responsibility for setting and implementing strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and managing resources. The goal of the VPER is to coordinate the activities of these units, along with other centers and academic programs on campus, so that the experience of each corporate or other partner with Bentley is well coordinated, unified, and focused on generating value both for the partner and for Bentley. In addition, the VPER will work collectively across the institution with faculty, staff, and other University leaders to help strengthen the breadth and depth of Bentley’s reputation to both internal and external audiences.

Qualified candidates may come from a number of professional backgrounds but will have at least ten years of relevant experience in leadership at management at an executive level. In addition, qualified candidates will have proven relationship acumen and an ability to grow and diversify a portfolio that focuses on C-suite decision makers and their senior leadership teams.  A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
