Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Ohio University is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Financial Aid responsible for managing all aspects of athletic awarding and financial aid in compliance with NCAA rules. This position analyzes NCAA guidelines, interprets and applies them to multi-faceted program management based on individual eligibility factors and totaling nearly $8 million dollars. Serves as point-person in analyzing, implementing, and testing system changes needed for nearly $6 million in Ohio Department of Higher Education Programs and Pennsylvania’s PHEAA grant. 


Assists with technological infrastructure of OHIO Signature Awards program directly affecting undergraduate Athens recruitment and retention. Lead person for departmental website updates and departmental social media administrator. This position also counsels students and parents in all facets of financial aid. Participates in presentations and outreach for financial aid, recruitment, and/or enrollment management initiatives. 


Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, excellent verbal and written communication, and management experience. A Master’s degree in Higher Education or a similar field as well as experience managing a large program and progressive experience in a financial aid office are preferred.
