What YOU Will Do…
You will provide 1st and 2nd tier PC support by diagnosing and resolving problems with computer hardware, peripherals, computer configurations, and software; maintain system documentation; provide end-user computing support through orientation, computing Q&A assistance, and basic application support; computer build and configuration by applying ARL build/configuration to systems and customizing per end-user requirements; infrastructure/cable plant administration, such as patching computer/phone network ports to switches, as well as other cable infrastructure related preservation; support both AV and VTC equipment; hardware/software evaluation and recommendation; participate in process documentation and improvement efforts; and participate in endpoint management and administration functions.

What YOU Need to be Successful…
Education: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Science and Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is desired plus four years of related experience.

Preferred experience:

  • Support of disk/file/email encryption
  • Support of AV and VTC equipment in offices and conference rooms
  • Operating in highly secure computing environments
  • The use, support, and administration of Macintosh and/or Linux systems

Required experience/skills:

  • The use, support, and administration of networked Windows systems in a domain environment
  • Support of end-user applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other common office or engineering apps)
  • Support of end-user peripherals
  • Diagnosing issues with network configurations from the endpoint

You will be subject to a government security investigation and you must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
