Program Director, Speech-Language Pathology Master's Program (Ruskin, FL)

Gannon University's Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences invites applications for a Director for the Speech-Language Pathology Program, which is offered at the Ruskin, Florida campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary, innovative, and collaborative leadership to manage and oversee a new MS program in speech-language pathology (SLP) that meets all standards for CAA accreditation.

This position will be responsible for recruiting a team of faculty that can effectively educate students in the scope of practice of SLP and recruit students with the talent and drive to be successful practitioners. This position is a 12-month, tenure track position with administrative release time to fulfill the Program Director responsibilities.

Required qualifications include:

 

 

  • Graduate degree in speech-language pathology from a CAA-accredited program
     
  • An earned doctorate degree (e.g Ph.D., Ed.D., DHSc)
     
  • An active license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida, current ASHA certification,
     
  • Four (4) years, or more, of clinical practice experience,
     
  • A proven record of leadership,
     
  • Effective communication skills, and professionalism,
     
  • Familiarity with CAA standards.

    Preference will be granted to candidates with experience in higher education and a demonstrated commitment to research and service. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
