Job Description:
Description of Duties:

Work under general supervision to perform a wide variety of tasks or procedures to directly assist a research laboratory project or program. Should be experienced and knowledgeable in the research area of Biology or related field. Will receive more direct supervision from PI and senior members of the lab.

Duties will include providing support for experimental activity, including carrying out experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting results to the lab. Will work on project related to Intron Dynamics in bacteria, specifically the relationship between introns and their host environment. Duties will also include basic laboratory maintenance, paperwork and other tasks related to grant.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S Dept. of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a research laboratory.
  • Candidates must address their ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.

Additional Information:
Salary Range: $40,000
