Assistant Professor - Construction Management

Department of Construction Management: School of the Built Environment. Bowling Green State University. 

Position: Full-time, Tenure-track, Assistant Professor. Start Date August 2019. 

Primary Responsibilities: Teach and develop a variety undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in construction management. Bring a strategic expertise to the Construction Management Department in the School of the Built Environment. Areas of strategic expertise and applied research that align with this overall vision include, but are not limited to: (1) Sustainability/Lean Design and Construction; (2) Design-Build; (3) Building Information Modeling; and (4) Facility Management. The selected candidate will be expected to conduct research, stay current, and remain active in grant-writing related with their area of expertise. Perform service to the department, school, college, and university as well as to the profession.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in Construction Management with at least one year of construction management or related industry experience. Applicants must have demonstrated ability to teach introductory and advanced courses in construction management as evidenced by at least one year of teaching experience at the collegiate level as adjunct, teaching assisant, or other instructional role. Applicants must have demonstrated ability to publish or submit at least one peer-reviewed journal article (or) authored/presented at least one conference paper (or) secured at least one externally funded research project. Preferred Qualifications: Professional licensure (PE) granted by a state board of registration. Professional level certifications such as: Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Certified Construction Manager (CCM); American Institute of Constructors (AIC); Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP); Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP BD+C); Certified Facility Manager (CFM).
