The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics (BEAM) at Virginia Tech is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Department Head. This senior level position within the College of Engineering will lead a department representing a unique multidisciplinary interface between biomedical science, fundamental mechanics, and real-world applications. Our faculty and students innovate and discover across a continuum of systems, from natural to engineered to medical. The appointment requires a Ph.D. degree in Engineering or a closely related field. Professional qualifications and experience should be consistent with the requirements for appointment at the rank of Full Professor with tenure.
