Assistant Professor of Accounting Tenure-track

Goucher College’s Business Management Program invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor specializing in Accounting beginning August 2019.  Goucher’s Business Management Program resides within the Center for Education, Business and Professional Studies.  Fulltime faculty teach twenty credit hours per year.  Courses will include Principles of Accounting (generally two sections per semester) as well as an upper level elective suitable for business students.

In addition to a strong commitment to teaching, we seek candidates with a dedication to student mentoring, ongoing scholarly research, and service to the Program and College.  Qualified candidates will have an earned doctoral degree in Accounting or a related discipline from an accredited business school, or a CPA and MBA. Applicants who are expecting to complete their dissertation within one year of beginning employment will be considered. Industry and teaching experience in addition to the academic qualifications will be an advantage.
