Associate Professor of Professional Practice & Collaborative Piano Artist (Full-time, non-tenure tra

The full-time collaborative piano artist will be expected to provide primary collaborative/accompanimental support to TCU School of Music students in all genres, including strings, winds, brass, and vocal/choral. The collaborative piano artist will work closely with the Coordinator of Collaborative Piano and the Chair of the Piano Division in assessing departmental needs and handling any special circumstances.  In addition to playing in regular rehearsals, lessons, and coachings, duties will include performing on undergraduate, graduate, and Artist Diploma student recitals, juries, and concerto competitions, accompanying TCU’s preeminent choral body, the TCU Concert Chorale, playing for incoming studio placement vocal auditions for new undergraduate, graduate, and Artist Diploma students each semester, playing for spring entrance live auditions, including the selective Nordan auditions, and availability to collaborate with guest artists and faculty. Instruction in applied music, ensembles, or classroom as assigned based on individual qualifications and expertise. Other duties as defined by the Director of the School of Music.  Qualifications:  Master’s degree in music with demonstrated success as a collaborative artist on a national level. Excellent sight-reading ability. Professional and timely oral, written, and digital communication skills. Prior experience of department-wide collaborative playing in a college, university, and/or conservatory setting is desirable.
