The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics is recruiting a board-certified/board-eligible heart failure cardiologist. This position will be in the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor on the tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track, depending on qualifications. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.

 

The candidate will work at UIHC, IRL and outreach locations and may have some clinical effort at the Iowa City VA Medical Center. The candidate will have effort in outpatient clinic, including outreach clinics, rounding on inpatient cardiomyopathy service, assisting in donor call and may perform right heart catheterizations and/or endomyocardial biopsies, if desired.

 

The successful candidate must have a MD or equivalent, completed a cardiology fellowship and an accredited advanced heart failure fellowship program or equivalent. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment is required.

 

A demonstrated record of scholarly work and/or educational involvement and teaching is preferred.
