Job Description:
The College of Integrated Health Sciences at the University at Albany is seeking to hire Two Full-Time Lecturers (10-months) for undergraduate and master-level courses in Nursing. These are non-tenure-track positions with the possibility of renewal term appointments. Successful canididates will start teaching for the Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 semester with a normal teaching load of three online courses per semester. The College has launched an RN to BS completion program and fully online Master's in Nursing program, both with a focus on Population Health. Sample class topics include: Health Assessment and Health Promotion, Quality and Safety in Nursing, Informatics and Technology in Nursing, Evidence Based Practice in Nursing, Theoretical Foundations of Nursing Science, Nursing Research Methods, Health Care Policy and Systems Leadership.

The successful candidate will contribute to the academic excellence of our nursing program through teaching, research, and service activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teaching:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in nursing courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, ensuring alignment with program objectives, evidence-based practice, and professional standards
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students, foster critical thinking, and facilitate active learning.
- Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic and career development.
- Service:
- Participate actively in departmental, school, and university committees, contributing expertise to support the institution's mission and strategic goals.
- Engage in community outreach and professional service activities, representing the university and promoting the nursing profession.
- Foster partnerships with healthcare organizations, professional associations, and other stakeholders to enhance educational and clinical opportunities for students.
- Assist the Nursing program team in the accreditation process and expanding the program as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Masters Degree in Nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by 5/31/2024. Candidates who will not hold the degree by this date will not be considered.
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.
- Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging, relative to their role.
- Current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State, or eligibility for licensure.
- 5 years of demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Doctoral Degree in nursing (Ph.D., DNP, or EDD) from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by 5/31/2024.
- 5 years or more of clinical experience in nursing practice.
- Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, or accreditation processes.

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Full-Time Lecturer, Salary commensurate with experience.
