Juniata College, a national college of liberal arts and sciences in picturesque south central Pennsylvania, seeks a creative, engaging, and strategic leader to serve as its next Vice President for Enrollment.

Founded in 1876, Juniata is an independent, co-educational college of liberal arts and sciences. Ranked as a top 100 liberal arts institution in U.S. News and World Report and one of 40 colleges featured in Loren Pope’s influential book, Colleges That Change Lives, Juniata is recognized particularly for its distinctive campus climate and the achievements of its students. Juniata’s students find the natural beauty of the campus to be a place where they can focus on the work of discovery and achievement. Committed to having voice and agency in shaping their education as well as the environment in which they learn, Juniata students choose the College most often because they see in it a strong and supportive community of people who will partner with them in pursuing academic achievement, professional preparation, and personal growth.

Juniata's next vice president for enrollment will join a community that is eager to partner with enrollment and committed to helping achieve the highest aspirations for enrollment. The new vice president will report to President James A. Troha, who is the College's twelfth president and entering his sixth academic year at Juniata. The College is seeking an inspiring, collaborative, and innovative leader of high integrity who will embrace and extend the distinct character of this institution in the recruitment of students. As the College’s chief enrollment officer, the vice president will lead, manage, and motivate the enrollment division and engage the entire community to work together in attracting, enrolling, retaining, and graduating an increasingly talented and diverse student population, drawn both domestically and internationally.

Juniata College seeks an exceptional leader of people and programs with proven talents and expertise in enrollment management. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to conceptualize and implement a dynamic long-term vision for enrollment, a strategic mindset, the ability to inspire and motivate an exceptionally dedicated team, and the interpersonal skills and desire to partner with all areas across campus. An appreciation for and the ability to articulate the merits of the liberal arts is highly desired, as is the ability to connect with people from all varieties of backgrounds and experiences. Exceptional skill with data and the capability to mine and utilize key demographic and market data that will lead to continued enrollment success are required. Candidates should also display high energy, creativity, openness, resilience, and optimism. An advanced degree is desired.
