Assistant Teaching Professor/Assistant Lecturer (non-tenure-track) position starting for the Fall 2025 Semester. This position will provide quality teaching primarily in “Introduction to Financial Accounting” and/or “Introduction to Managerial Accounting" at the undergraduate level; advise students; and provide service to the profession and University. Introductory accounting courses at Miami can range in size from small to large sections.
The Department of Accountancy currently has approximately 150 graduates per year, and consists of approximately 25 members included tenured/tenure-track faculty, teaching professors/lecturers, part-time instructors, and staff members. The Department values high-quality teaching and research. The Farmer School of Business has approximately 1,200 graduates per year. Required: Doctorate in Accounting or closely related field by date of appointment for rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. Master’s degree in Accounting or closely related field by date of appointment for rank of Assistant Lecturer.
Consideration may be given to candidates with demonstrated quality collegiate teaching experience, and experience teaching accounting content.
