As a photo/video producer, you will oversee each project from beginning to end while collaborating with communications managers, videographers, video editors, photographers, stylists, faculty, staff, and students. Under the direction of the senior director of visual media, you will maintain an engaging aesthetic and brand identity for SCAD across all the university’s video and photography projects to successfully achieve SCAD’s mission and goals for marketing objectives, recruitment, retention, recognition, and funding. You will also work to ensure all locations and elements for shoots are correctly prepared and broken down, establish and maintain a unique creative and visual aesthetic for all coverage, scout locations, and assess creative concepts for requested video and photography projects.
In this position, you will develop relationships with assigned schools and commission vendors for photo and video productions, such as videographers, photographers, editors, makeup, hair, and assistants. You will help facilitate and traffic needed legal and payment paperwork, including appearance releases for on-camera talent, permits, releases, invoices, and other university-specific needs. You will also be responsible for casting shoots, organizing shooting schedules, renting specialized equipment, and leading your creation team for each project. Additional responsibilities include acting as the on-site producer for live events; being involved in media organizations and award submissions; and assisting other producers, videographers, and photographers when needed.
The successful candidate should be creative with a highly visual eye and personable while working with high-profile visiting artists, shy students, and busy staff or faculty members. The candidate should have a strong grasp of videography, audio, media management, and editing, as well as be able to troubleshoot and maintain contemporary creative and technical skills. They should approach assignments with enthusiasm and creativity while adhering to deadlines and demonstrating problem-solving skills to contribute to the success of the projects.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in communications or a related field
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
- Must be available to work outside office hours, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Photography styling experience
- PR and marketing knowledges
