ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ACTING, DEPARTMENT OF THEATRE, CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY NORTHRIDGE.  Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication, seeks full-time tenure-track instructor of Acting to join active and collaborative Performance Area Faculty beginning Fall 2019. Primary responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced courses in Acting Technique.  See full position announcement for additional responsibilities. Reappointment, promotion, and tenure based on teaching effectiveness, scholarly/creative professional achievement and service.  Qualifications:  M.F.A. in Acting or completion of a professional graduate acting theater training program, required. Teaching experience at the university/college level, using specific or multiple approaches and/or expertise in application of acting methods to various types of theatre and/or approaches to specialized skills for actors. Familiarity and engagement with recent plays and trends across national communities and in world theatre, required. Demonstrated experience with curricular development, preferred. Demonstrated ability and experience in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion, required. Ability to work effectively and collegially with a diverse student, staff, faculty population, required.  Read full requirements on official position announcement at:   Priority will be given to applicants who meet the screening deadline of November 16, 2018; however, position will remain open until filled.
