As the special projects manager, you will ensure projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. You will act as the lead liaison between creative direction, executive administration, and the Atlanta fashion team while managing logistics and supporting the jury and runway shows.Responsibilities include managing the style lab mentor program, overseeing fashion resource library space and resources, supervising student employees, and acting as the primary contact for the department with all governing boards and organizers for external competitions and scholarship award opportunities. In this role you will promote competitions, disseminate information, confirm eligibility, connect students to additional SCAD resources, provide feedback to students on best practices, track progress toward submissions, and meet expectations to increase student submission numbers each year.
In this position you will entirely manage new initiatives and take ownership of high-profile projects by working with the legal team to protect the university’s interests. Responsibilities include managing all social media for the School of Fashion in Atlanta, serving as the liaison to identify and connect students with SCADamp, managing the research library’s inventory and data system, scheduling student monitors, and maintaining room set ups to meet SCAD standards. You will be expected to oversee housekeeping requests, assess opportunities for student visibility, build relationships with local stylists and publications, manage all student work that is on loan, and lead behind the scenes of productions. As the manager you will be the primary contact for external partners, perform all model coordinating duties, promote and manage scholarship information, and receive final submissions.
As the special projects manager, you will administer all financial aspects of student awards, manage in-class presentations for Scholarship Kick and competitions, and conduct extensive research on potential mentors before extending invitations. Responsibilities include supporting the set-up of visual display components, helping new faculty, completing My School Building work orders, acting as the primary contact for physical resources, and handling billing. You will be expected to answer communications from donors, maintain industry knowledge, establish and maintain relationships with key players in the local fashion community, and maintain budgetary limits in all endeavors.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

- Bachelor's degree
- Able to organize a large volume of logistical details across clients
- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Advanced knowledge of fashion
