Temporary Community Manager

As the community manager, you will monitor real-time conversations in the social media inbox, responding to current community members in a timely manner in the tone of the brand.In this role you will work closely with multiple internal teams to create a unique strategy for community and engagement-based campaigns, proactively defining new appropriate brand and community ambassadors to engage with SCAD. Responsibilities include liaising with editorial and public relation teams to spearhead the on-going refinement of SCAD's community engagement strategy and tone of voice, developing a thorough knowledge of the subjects taught at SCAD, and compiling and contributing conversation and sentiment insights from the SCAD community to inform content creation and monthly tracking reports.Additionally, you will develop a response strategy and execution with internal and external stakeholders to ensure SCAD is represented according to mission in crisis management situations.

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and AP style guidelines
  • Experience with crisis management in public relations and capable of quickly synthesizing complex information
  • Positive team-oriented approach to working with partners
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally on short notice and over extended periods of time

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
  • Valid driver’s license

Travel required:
  • 20% to 40%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
