The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) is the central coordinating and support organization for a highly regarded cluster of seven independent colleges known as The Claremont Colleges. TCCS, with about 300 staff members, provides exceptional shared services to 9,000 students, and almost 3,600 faculty and staff. TCCS staff work in both student-facing services as well as administrative and operational services. Our numerous departments are located throughout The Claremont Colleges campus in the beautiful city of Claremont, California.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Integrations and System Administrator ("administrator") provides technical expertise and leadership to facilitate the successful implementation of a new student information system for the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges (5Cs). The administrator will develop, test, and maintain student information system integrations, forms/workflows, and reports, and will share responsibility for managing user/group permissions within the SIS environment. The administrator serves as key technical leader on the SIS project implementation team and collaborates with peers at each participating institution to achieve an on-time migration from the legacy SIS to Anthology Student.

CLASSIFICATIONS

Employee Type: Interim Position - 18 months - 2 years.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following are the fundamental duties and responsibilities of this position which the incumbent must be able to perform to fulfill the purpose and requirements of this position.

Integrations
  • Work with functional users, technical teams, and vendor consultants to gather requirements for integrations.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain integrations with Anthology Student and various target systems, leveraging the vendor's API library.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integrations-related issues and failures in a collaborative and timely fashion.
  • Contribute to the development of standards, processes, and documentation related to integrations with Anthology Student.
  • Identify opportunities to improve upon existing integrations and related business processes.
  • Implement integrations monitoring systems and notifications to improve response times.

System Administration
  • Apply appropriate user/group access and role-based permission settings for all SIS users across the consortium, utilizing the Anthology Student security console.
  • Balance user access considerations with data privacy and security requirements.
  • Test and monitor user authentication and access rules and assist with annual security role access audits.
  • Develop forms, workflows, and reports to meet the needs of administrative SIS users.
  • Train other members of the project team to assist with technical tasks.
  • Develop protocols for future SIS patches, upgrades, and releases.


Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with project leadership, functional users, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure integrations and system administration requirements are met.
  • Work closely with colleagues in TCCS IT and Workday Support Services to share best practices for technical support, business process support, and application monitoring and maintenance in relation to integrations and user security.
  • Communicate promptly and effectively to project leadership on the progress of integrations, workflow, and report development and in the context of a tight implementation deadline.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with project participants within the respectful culture of The Claremont Colleges.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training : Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution OR equivalent in a combination of education, training, and additional experience beyond the minimum required.

Experience : At least three (3) years of direct experience in enterprise-level software/application management, API integrations, data mapping, and workflow development within a cloud computing context.
  • Strong command of integrations platforms, data formats, and protocols: APIs, JSON, REST, SOAP, XML, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Boomi, AWS, MuleSoft, etc.
  • Two (2) years of experience with data, programming, workflow, and reporting tools: SQL, SSRS, OData, CI/CD pipelines, .NET, Git, PowerBI, etc..
  • Fluency in at least one object-oriented programming language (.NET preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in any of the undergraduate institutions of The Claremont Colleges.
  • Experience developing integrations with other common higher education systems.
  • Previous SIS or other ERP-level software implementation experience.
  • Familiarity with Anthology Student or other Anthology products for higher education


Work Schedule :

The regular hours for this full-time, interim position are 40 hours scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for the duration of the SIS implementation, approximately 18-24 months. May be required to work holiday, weekend, and/or evening hours. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or business unit. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule to work partial hours remotely depending on the evolving needs of the project and as approved by the supervisor. California residency is required. May be required to travel domestically for a conference.

COMPENSATION

Pay : The monthly salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with the duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required for the position, between $9,583.33 to $10,416.66 per month.
