Assistant Director of Admission

As the assistant director of admission, you will travel to effectively represent the university to prospective students at school-specific events and information sessions while building ongoing professional and institutional relationships. Your responsibilities will include following-up with prospective students to discuss their interests and answer questions about the admission process and opportunities at the university; increasing the positive awareness of SCAD in the assigned region; and planning travel to strategically identified high schools, community colleges, four-year colleges, and universities in conjunction with the regional director and regional teammates. In this position you will be expected to deliver creative and engaging classroom presentations to students; individually meet with students to provide crucial information; and conduct information sessions for parents, teachers, counselors, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel extensively

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: 
  • Valid driver's license

Travel required: Over 50%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
